Used Dan few times now. Excellent service. Excellent work. We had several windows in a rental property that wouldn’t open and shut . We were going to get them replaced as they were old. But Dan was able to repair and replace the hinges and made them good as new. And a door mechanism was causing issues with locking the door, replaced in no time. Alot of his materials are on his van so many occasions you will get a quick fix.

We adapted a standard KFV multi-point lock and did it for half of the original quotation. The customer was very happy with the end result. The door worked great, we supplied and fitted a new cylinder and re-aligned the door Free of charge. We specialise in UPVC door repairs and we can source Multi-point Locking systems that other companies can not at a very competitive price.

This the back part of a traditional rim cylinder (commonly known as a yale lock) and nightlatch setup, this is the nightlatch. Insurance companies do not look at these locks when evaluating your home security unless this part has a deadlock function attached. We supply and fit These locks with the deadlock function.

Multi-point locking system repair

A lovely family in Shiremoor had difficulty in opening and closing their door this was due to failure in the gearbox part of the locking system and we quickly swapped it over for them and the door was as good as new.

Its vital to keep these locking mechanisms regularly serviced to prevent this happening

Our customer in Whitley bay had a jammed open door that wouldn’t close or lock. We diagnosed the issue as being the multipoint lock.

The lock was Yale by brand and Yale have stopped making this particular model, we sourced a universal lock and adapted it to fit.

Problem with front door not closing reliably.

Called DR at 08:45 and was fortunate he was in our area and could fit us in. He arrived 09:15 and quickly assessed the component on the door that was causing our problem and was able to correct this expeditiously and to our complete satisfaction. Cost of job I fund very reasonable and the service provided out of this world. DR was a very personable, courteous and confident tradesman and would not hesitate to use him again if the need arose. Many thanks.

Upvc utility door mechanism not operating by handle

Excellent from start to finish! Contacted Dan for a non-emergency door repair on Friday evening. Phone was answered promptly and professionally. We quickly agreed a time for the repair for 10am the followed morning. Dan arrived on time and set straight to work. He very quickly had the door opened (with no damage) to gain access to the faulty mechanism, for which he had a spare on the van. Door back up and running within an hour of arriving. Would definitely use Dan again.
