Rang in the morning and Dan came to sort broken hinges on window that wouldn’t close. Super prompt service Other repairers were either quoting higher price or couldn’t do job for a couple of weeks

Changed closing mechanism in double glazed window.

The whole process was quick and very professionally handled. I contacted Keyglaze, described the problem. They were able to let me know what the solution was and how much it would cost to correct and they did the work the next day. Very impressed with the speed and quality provided.

Cloudy window glass was replaced and two window locks were repaired.

The work was completed to a high standard and I can now open my bedroom window easily opposed to before when I could not manage to open it. The cloudy glass has been replaced and is so much better than before. The work was very efficient and mess free.

My mother left her upstairs bedroom window open whilst it was windy. The wind forced the bottom bracket on the window unit to break. I phoned Dan, who asked for pictures If the broken window and he gave me a really reasonable quote. He attended my mother’s property, fixed the window and left no mess. Really professional and would highly recommend.

Dan and his assistant were polite very professional And punctual keeping me informed by phone when they were on their way. I had explained that I needed to be at the property as my mother has Alzheimer’s and Dan was very understanding. They even fitted the vertical blinds back up when they were finished! After they Fitted the glass they cleaned it and asked if we were happy before they left. They both were very careful to keep their distance from us and they both wore masks during the time they were with us. They took away any cloths and wipes that they used. Highly recommended!

Not really one for leaving online feedback, but wanted to on this occasion as he went above and beyond to make sure he not only did the agreed job but to make sure previous poor work was corrected, and at no extra cost. Locks replaced in front door and window lock repaired

I have used Dan a number of times for locks, main door and a window lock fixed. Every time Dan has been on time or early and is so quick to do a repair! He is courteous and extremely helpful and has also at times charged us less than we expected due to discovering the issue wasn’t as serious as originally thought. Can’t recommend high enough, don’t go anywhere else, we certainly won’t be!

5 top tips to prevent a break in this Xmas

We attend over 30 domestic break-ins per year in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. I have compiled a list of 5 easy steps to prevent your home from being broken into. If you would like to discuss any of the methods further or would like any more FREE advice please call 0191 9086053

1. Don’t showboat! – Burglars are normally opportunists, If they see a window or door open or high value items on display they might seize the moment.

Our advice – Close the blinds. Make sure you close windows and doors and don’t leave laptops, mobile phones or other high ticket items on display.

2. Social media

We all love to show off our holiday pics on Facebook, twitter or other social media outlets while everybody else is enjoying the miserable British weather but criminals use social media to ensure nobodies home.

Our advice – Don’t do it. When you post your pictures make sure its after your holiday and everybody knows it on your post.

3. Visual deterrents

If potential criminals see your home is secure and a neighbour’s isn’t, the chances are they we miss out your home all together.

Our advice – There are a number of visual deterrents including : CCTV, Alarms, Signage to show that you have a security feature in place or security grills and fencing.

4. Secure it

If you have took all measures to deter criminals but they still want to have a go..

Our Advice – Secure it correctly:

Upgrade to laminated glass (takes more force and noise to break)
Upgrade your door locks ( Anti-snap, drill and pick)
Upgrade door handles ( Anti-snap and key hole cover)
Upgrade letter box cage
Install window sash jammers or restrictors to prevent the window being opened from the outside
