Mechanism and lock failing on composite door and sticking

Just wow! Messaged this company this morning on Checkatrade, within half an hr Laura rang to say the tradesman could be out before 12 he arrived before 11, looked at my door explained exactly what had failed the manufacturer that makes them, the part needed cost and how the part failed. Had the part fitted there and then. Done additional adjusting to help with the opening and closing of the door, asked me to test to see if I was happy, also said to give him a call and he would be straight back out if any problems occurred. He was professional and a proper tradesman 100% recommend thanks Dan.

Replace lock on front door

I only contacted Keyglaze yesterday and Laura arranged for Dan and Mike to come out today. The lads were lovely, professional, knowledgeable and fitted the new lock quickly and efficiently. As my daughter is autistic, she struggles with any change so Laura let me know when the lads were on their way so I could get her settled. Unfortunately he doesn’t deal with doors like ours as it’s very old and basically needs completely replacing. Dan did everything he could to secure it for us while we organise the replacement and he has recommended a colleague to do it for us. He also didn’t charge us for coming to have a look, which was very kind!

We were going to get them replaced as they were old. But Dan was able to repair and replace the hinges and made them good as new. Dan came out to initially board up and then replace the glass panel in my door following it shattering. He came within 45minutes of calling him on a Sunday – prompt, efficient and friendly service. Dan was chatty and pleasant. Reasonable prices. When Dan returned just three days later to fit the glass he went above the call of duty also fixing my step at no extra cost! Highly recommended, wouldn’t hesitate to contact again.

Window beading was refitted following the window being popped for a furniture delivery

Dan was great, I was in a spot of bother trying to get our window beads refitted after having the window removed. Very responsive, was with me in around an hour of requesting the job and it was completed swiftly and competently. Very reasonably priced too. Would use again and recommend him too.

Replacement of 3 upvc window locks that had seized and were unable to lock fully.

Called on Wednesday to enquire about a quote for replacing 3 upvc window locks that had seized, thus stopping the windows being fully closed/locked properly. Quote was very reasonable-£95 per window. Guys came on the Friday morning (COVID secure with masks, distancing and disinfecting) all the locks were repaired swiftly, all mess was cleaned and the works undertaken was fully explained too. Would highly recommend!

Bedroom window was stuck open.

Dan gave me an estimate over the phone after seeing a photo of the problem. The guys turned up the same day and replaced hinges quickly and efficiently without mess. I was also advised on how to stop the problem recurring. I would be happy to recommend this company – they are friendly, straightforward and efficient.

He is courteous and extremely helpful and has also at times charged us less than we expected due to discovering the issue wasn’t as serious as originally thought. We called our parts supplier and to buy a new mechanism for this particular KFV branded unit was nearly £200 just in parts.
